1st Prize - Earth Day Art Contest (2022)

"My piece, Our Ocean is in Our Hands, is a representation of what we as humans need to remember about our place in the world and that we share this earth with many other amazing creatures, emphasizing our responsibility of preserving the ocean for future generations.

For this piece I started by sketching out several ideas of what I thought would be the best representation of our connection to marine life and our planet as a whole. I decided that I wanted to show a large variety of wildlife to cement the idea of the world coming together...I like creating for audiences of all ages and think that drawing children is a way to connect with them while introducing important content."
